If you see them at your door, don't answer it. This company has the most high pressure sales people I've ever met. They completely ignore your questions and forge ahead with trying to get their people on your roof. Do NOT let them on your roof. Look around your neighbourhood for good work and ask your neighbors who did their restoration, as people with good reputations do not have to door knock to get business.
CUSTOMER REVIEW 1
I bought my house 5 years ago and was told then by the Estate Agent that the roof was done approx 4 years earlier. Well I purchased the house and after approx a year I noticed the roof fading and peeling. I rang the Agent who put me in touch with the previous owners son and asked who did the roof, the son told me that his mother who was the owner of my house had severe dementia and had lost her mind, he could not help me as he never lived in the home. Roof restoration warranties range from 7 to 10 years and are transferable to the new owner. My neighbors who are now long gone also told me that it was a Roofshield job, and also did not want to put anything into writing. So I opened the phone book and rang a few Roof Restoration people, the first two looked on their computer and said they did not do the roof then Roofshield Ballina was next on the list and after explaining the situation I was told that they would look into it and ring me back, I never heard from them again.
Well in January 2010 I asked Solarshop to give me a quote on a solar installation and the person that gave me the quote Jock Barnes told me that Roofshield did the roof as he was down here giving a quote to the previous owner on some security screens. Jock did not want to put anything into writing as I E-mailedhim on the 17th March at 11.37am asking for information, he returned the call to my Mobile at 12.58 pm (see picture here).
Well I rang Roofshield at Ballina again (February) and told him about this new development (Solarshop), He said he would call me back, and once again he has never called me back. I rang Roofshield Ballina again on the 24th March and left a message, once again they have never called me back. I also rang Roofshield Head Office on 1800 173 885 (February) and explained the situation and was told there is nothing they could do, I told them that I was sick of the buck passing and would create this website to let everyone know about my situation, she took my details and said the General Manager would definetly call me, no call has ever been received as of 21st July 2011.
Roofshield Ballina finally did ring me back on the 29th March 2010 at 9.50am and said that he has only owned the business 5 Years and has no records before that and he said "unfortunately there is nothing we can do". I asked him if he has no records how do Roofshield honor warranty on jobs done before him?. "Steve there is nothing we can do, sorry". I personally find this hard to believe because when a business is taken over all the records go with it, I have never heard of a situation where all records are not handed over.
Roofshield have the following on their website. Please click here
Or click here if the page does not load.
They have not addressed any of the matters I complain about except deny deny deny. They do not outline the steps they have taken to address the issue. Simply saying “there is nothing we can do” is hardly addressing the issue.
I will let you be the judge as to the integrity of myself and Roofshield.

Customer Review 2
I have recently had a bad experience with Roofshield Restorations Pty Ltd and would not recommend their services due to this experience.
I recently had the tiled roof on my house ‘restored’ by Roofshield. The quote from Roofshield was considerably more expensive but I chose them because of the promise on their website and the express guarantee that was on the back of the contract I signed stating that the “product will not chip, crack or flake, peel or corrode and is resistant to fungi and algae growth”.
Approximately 6 months after having my roof ‘restored’ I noticed many of the tiles were peeling or flaking the Roofshield product. Not just 1 or 2 but several on each face of the roof.
I contacted Roofshield via telephone and informed them of this and asked that they fix the peeling. I was told that they would send someone out to fix the problem.
A number of months after this Roofshield still had not repaired my roof. I rang and asked what was happening. I was told that Roofshield would not fix my roof as they did not believe it was a warranty issue.
I asked why it wasn’t a warranty issue as the roof was peeling / flaking and they expressly guaranteed that their product would not do this. I was simply told that the damage (peeling / flaking) wasn’t a warranty issue and that I should claim under my home insurance.
My home insurer sent out a contracted inspector to assess the damage to my roof. The inspector determined that the damage (peeling / flaking) was likely due to poor application of, or a faulty product.
I again informed Roofshield of this and they again refused to fix my roof.
Has anyone else had similar experiences with Roofshield?

Roof restorations seem to be one of those troublesome industries. A lot of horror stories out there. I haven't checked for myself but I've heard it suggested that if you have a roof new enough to be metric then simply getting new tiles isn't that expensive, IF in fact the existing ones aren't alright for some reason. (Older roofs run into issues of compatible sizes.)
How much did it cost? Have you enquired whether it falls within the limit for the smalls claims court? As I understand it you don't need to pay for a lawyer, you just state your case yourself, and "the roof was peeling / flaking and they expressly guaranteed that their product would not do this" seems straightforward enough. They're just trying to slither out of taking responsibility, it's disgraceful!

Roofshield are a bunch of cheats and scammers. You are correct in that they wont honor warranty. My insurance company has had an independent contractor check the roof after i made an insurance claim due to leaks. The report states that the work performed by Roofshield is defective and this defective work is the cause of the leaks.
Roofshield have not responded to my repeated requests to check the roof and make repairs.
Don't use Roofshield. They wont cover the warranty.
